Check out the new Video Manager

You put a lot of work into your videos, so we’re putting a lot of work into making sure they look their best on YouTube. Today we’re rolling out an updated Video Manager with some new features that’ll help you handle all your videos. To try out the new design, go to the Video Manager and click “try it now.”

Highlights of the new Video Manager are:
  • Simplified top and left navigation bars to help you get to the tools you need more quickly
  • Icons to indicate privacy status, if monetization is enabled and scheduled publish status
  • Badges to indicate whether videos are HD, Creative Commons and/or captioned
  • A new look that’s consistent with our fresh coat of digital paint



We also cleaned up our suite of editing tools and improved the navigation used to get between these tools:

Have feedback? On the left side of the page click the “send feedback” button, where we’ll be reviewing all of your comments on the design. We’re planning on fully releasing this interface early next year, so submit your ideas before then. You can also share your thoughts in our forum.

    every few months youtube just HAS to release an unnecessary update because the guys at the office have nothing else to do or something?

    Please... Can we have the old layout back? Its something many of us have been asking since the first layout change!

  6. I like it because Its something new, it makes YouTube feel more modern. More HD than it was.

    I dislike it because when I first saw it, I was like Wow and not so wow. The layout was completely different. I didn't know how to use it and it was too confusing.

  7. The layout does give YouTube the paint job it needed. But it's hurting channels that live on subscriptions. It needs to display at least 3 of my last uploads when I post a new video. People are not on YouTube everyday. My subscribers miss content and its YouTubes job to make things easy for the user. They shouldn't need to go looking for content they are subscribed to. PLEASE look into this.

  8. Not sure if this is me, but I do not see the option in the Channel editor to change which video I want playing first. Like either "Play latest Uploaded video" or "Chose which video to play first." If anyone knows, let me know please.

  9. Please .... The new outlook is dull and chilly .... I miss the warmth of my own youtube channel.
    You can only see their own background to change, but the wrapper remains gray/white (cold) ... bah.

  10. please just leave it alone for a long time. times they are a-changing, and that means people who have lives outside the internet are on the internet. we don't need to see this thing change and adapt to it every so often. you need to adapt to us. i know this is amazing, but some of us just dabble in this stuff and have other things to do. the most important thing to me is that if my giant file upload fails midway through it can be resumed wherever it left off.

Hello, i know this is amazing, but some of us just dabble in this stuff and have other things to do. the most important thing to me is that if my giant file upload fails midway through it can be resumed wherever it left off.
