Improved video sharing to YouTube, Google+, and more

We are improving and streamlining the tools that help you share your videos with fans.  For a while, YouTube has had features allowing you to share your videos to social networks, but no ability to customize the text displayed to your subscribers.  Now, when you upload your videos to YouTube, you can write your own post to your fans.  



Where will this post appear? In YouTube feeds, the text will be merged into the upload feed item (exactly the same as if you were to upload a video, then make a channel post about the same video, but without the extra effort).  This also works with the scheduled publishing feature, offering you even greater convenience  

The text will also be included when your video is shared across connected social accounts, like to the linked Google+ profile below.  As the video and post will be shared to your other connected social accounts as well, you no longer have go to each site to manually customize a post for each video.

Better discoverability of your videos on Google+

Also, once you connect your YouTube account with Google+, your public YouTube videos will be featured on the Videos tab in your Google+ profile. The tab will be renamed YouTube to help your fans find your videos.  The YouTube videos will play on YouTube, and the tab links to your channel.  Check out Bruno Mars’ Google+ profile to see this in action.

    4. Is there any way of sharing videos on you tube to friends or groups? mine has been taken away yet i notice that a few other people still have the share facility. I do not want to just copy and paste linkas it is not as effective as the video picture . Any ideas?

  3. Noticed that the sharing options for Facebook are gone and will not only post to my Facebook wall. I thought I was able to select a message, group or friends timeline in the sharing feature. Why did this change?

  5. WHEN WILL GOOGLE + PAGES CONNECT WITH YOUTUBE ACCOUNTS?! This feature needs to come soon since I want to connect my page to my channel, not my personal profile.

  10. Nice new feature - if I could connect my Facebook PAGE with my YouTube to make actual use of the new feature!

    Also, I'd really like to utilize this feature with my Google+ profile where I have about 2000 people reading what I write - if I could actually connect my G+ profile (which is another Google Account than the one I am using for Youtube) with my channel!

    So it is really nice that you create such new features - but it was nicer if I could actually use them. Please make things a bit more "flexible"...

  15. Google and thus, the GoogleTube+ team has once again ignored the vocal users.
    -And as usual, are nowhere to be seen. Coward to avoid the fury.

    Long-time users of once YouTube foresaw that Google+ will be enforced into YouTube and upon users without hearing the ones who get the enforced mess to use.

    These new layout changes will most likely pave way to integrate Google+ as a enforced feature to the users of formely YouTube?

    Question would be, do users really want that?
    -Answer is irrelevant to the GoogleDrones.

  17. now when i try to share a video to facebook two problems:
    1. i no longer have the ability to post it to one of my facebook "pages". Only to my wall
    2. even if i post it to my wall, facebook won't allow me to 'share' it with any other wall or page

  22. What you guys need to figure out is how to control the Alactro ads from blasting while we watch videos!!!!!!!! WTH!??!?!?! We have to watch preroll and sometimes in the middle of vids. Fine. BUT HAVING TO LISTEN TO ADS WHILE THE VID IS PLAYING IS NOT COOL!!! FIX THIS!!!! Thanks.

  33. Does this work for Google+ Pages? Since brands cannot have profiles, we have a page, but it doesn't appear that we have any of the functionality of a profile, including the google+ functionality referenced in this post.

    you talk about the channel post feature like it still exists.

    I'd love to be able to send channel posts, but I don't have this facility on my channel page like it says in the explanation link above.

    has it moved?
    does it still exist?
